Goners Will Be Bygone

He told her
He wanted to jump
Take the deep plunge
And never return
Well so do I
She wanted to say
She did but didn’t
For what good would it have done
Didn’t want to lose him
Hit him for being his moronic self
For not realizing he was
The best version of himself
The conversation wasn’t over though
Talked about how
Goners will be bygone, he did
When I am not there
You will do nothing but cry
Contradict it, I didn’t
I didn’t because I couldn’t
I couldn’t because I wouldn’t
Wouldn’t let him
‘Let go’ that is

One being impulsive idiot is enough
Don’t enter the territory
That was reserved to be mine
Go before I lose control
Complete my race to hell
Before you even begin
Yours to reach the divine…

Am I right in thinking this is very dark? Well expressed Nancy – you have me contemplating the words and I like when my thoughts are thus engaged 🙂
